July 22, 2013
Hello,
It's been a long week, but
here we are. How are you all? Busy? Ah. Que bueno. Entonces. Not much
has happened. We spent a lot of time walking in the hot sun.
In
response to a request to hear more about my routine, here is what we do
in a typical morning: Wake up when the alarm on the phone goes off at
6:30. Walk over to the desk to turn it off. Turn my fan to point at my
away from my bed (it's already on because it's been on all night) and
kneel and pray. Sit on my bed and read a chapter of the Book of Mormon
while I eat a banana and some bread. Check to see if we have water
(There is only running water certain hours of the day, and it's always a
mystery which hours they'll be). If water, a shower. If not, water from
the buckets we keep for emergencies. Dry myself off and leave the
bathroom. Iron my shirt (we don't have anywhere to hang up our clothes,
so they come out of my suitcase badly wrinkled). Dress myself until I
get to shoes. Put talcum powder in my socks. Socks, shoes, tie, tags.
Ready to study. So that's generally how I start my days. Hope you liked
it. I love you all,
Elder Bryan Hall
